We are writing to you today to ask for your support for the Backpack School lunch program of the Charging Bear Community Fund. As you may know, Native American children often experience food insecurity on weekends and holidays when school meal programs are not available. This can have a significant impact on their physical health, academic performance, and overall well-being.

The Backpack School lunch program, designed after the Running Strong model, provides nutritious meals to Native American children to help ensure they have access to healthy food during times when school meal programs are not available. The program provides backpacks filled with food to children on Fridays, which they can take home with them for the weekend.

Your support is critical to the success of this program. With your help, we can provide these children with the food they need to thrive and succeed. Your donation will go directly towards purchasing food and supplies for the backpacks, as well as funding program outreach and community engagement efforts.

I invite you to join us in this important work by making a donation today. Your gift will make a difference in the lives of these children and help support a brighter future for our community.

Thank you for your consideration, and we look forward to your continued support.
